Dr Malcolm Hillier was born and brought up in Croydon, Surrey. He qualified in medicine at Guy's Hospital in London in 1969. He obtained his surgical qualification-FRCS in 1976 from Edinburgh.
He married Dr Ethel Hillier in 1976, and after spending a year at All Nations Christian College, they worked in North India for 6 years before returning to Britain, to train in general practice in Aldershot. Malcolm has been a partner in The Milton Abbas Practice since 1987. They have 3 grown up children.
His work in India included general surgery, orthopaedics and plastic surgery,as well as general practice.. Dr Malcolm continues to practice his surgical skills in Minor Operations in the Surgery including the new technique of No Scalpel Vasectomy. He also has a special interest in palliative care and skin conditions.
His hobbies are cross country skiing, bird-watching, playing the cello & organ and he plans to walk the SouthWest Coastal path (in stages!).
