Milton Abbas Surgery

Patient Participation Group

All patients registered with the practice are members of The Milton Abbas Patient Participation Group (PPG).  The PPG is a registered charity with a committee that meets quarterly.

Our aim is to ensure that both the committee and active PPG members are representative of all registered patients. This should include:-

  • Carers
  • Long term chronically ill
  • Young mums
  • Teenagers
  • Single parents
  • Widows and widowers
  • Recently bereaved patients
  • The elderly

We are very fortunate to be part of a proactive and caring surgery. We want to work alongside the doctors and staff, improving patient services by listening to patients, feeding patient comments to the surgery, and helping patients to understand how the surgery works and the challenges faced by modern family doctors.

One of our main roles is fundraising. In the past the PPG has provided the surgery with much needed medical equipment to improve patient care, sometimes avoiding the need for hospital visits by enabling the procedure to be carried out at the surgery.

The PPG also purchased the medication delivery van that so many of you enjoy the benefit of.

Please support our future fundraising projects. We will be using this section of the website, our facebook page, and the local village magazines to inform you of future events and projects, and inform you of our latest activities.
