Dr Julian Rees was born in Tenby and brought up in Ammanford, South Wales. He went to medical school in Southampton and graduated in 1998. He moved to Dorchester for his first job where he met Rebecca, a nurse at Dorchester Hospital. They married in 2000. Julian worked all over Dorset before deciding on a career in general practice. He qualified as a General Practitioner in 2003, having completed his GP training in Bournemouth. He joined the Milton Abbas practice as a partner in 2004.
Julian's medical interests include mental health and evidence based medicine. Outside of work he enjoys reading, going to the cinema and spending time with his children. He is learning the guitar and running to get fit.
Julian and Rebecca have two children Jonty and Gracie. He will cease to be a grockle in 2013!
